About Our Division
Our division is focusing on “HYDRIDE” Researches for Energy Applications.
The main subject is the developments of “high-density hydrogen storage materials” for fuel cell application. Currently we are studying new complex-, metal/alloy-, and perovskite-hydrides composed of light-weight metals and specific nanostructures using e.g. atomic/electronic characterizations and energy-saving microwave process. A part of our research activity is contributing the International Energy Agency, IEA, Hydrogen Implementing Agreement Annex 22 (Fundamental and applied hydrogen storage materials development).
In addition, the other subjects on “HYDRIDE” Researches for Energy Applications connected with “Ni-MH secondary battery electrodes”, “neutron shielding materials” and “lithium superionic conductors” are also in progress.
